Gardener in Ku-ring-gai
Garden care, pruning, planting and native garden advice in Roseville, Lindfield, Killara, Gordon, Pymble, Turramurra, St Ives, Wahroonga.
Ku-ring-gai is home to much of what remains of Blue Gum High Forest and Sydney Turpentine-Ironbark Forest, both critically endangered. Gardens here often sit on rich shale soils on the ridges, with sandstone in the gullies, and many back onto bushland. It is one of the best places on the North Shore for a local native garden.

Tree rules
In Ku-ring-gai a "tree" includes any woody plant 5 m or more tall, or with a trunk 150 mm or more across at ground level, native or exotic. Pruning or removal needs Council approval unless an exemption applies, and no exemptions apply to trees in a threatened ecological community. Council website.
I don't prune or remove protected trees without approval, and I refer tree work to qualified arborists.
